334 with 232 kills and 46 aces as Lockport won 24 matches. As a senior, Kovanda was an All-State Honorable Mention selection after hitting. She was named All-Southwest Suburban Blue Conference three times and earned two All-Area Second Team honors. Kovanda also had 83 blocks on the year to average 0.67 blocks per set.Ī native of Lockport, Ill., Kovanda was a four-year letterwinner at Lockport Township High School.
She played in all 33 matches as a sophomore in 2019, averaging 1.49 kills per set with four matches of double-digit kills.
